Action Theater Improvisation (Waterwtown)
Wednesday 6:15 pm – 9:15 pm
Billie Jo Joy
Action Theater is a form of improvisation developed by Ruth Zaporah in which one practices the art of presence. This is a handy tool no matter what you do or who you love. It's important to be in the moment or you might miss out on what is really happening in your life. Action Theater, like many spiritual practices, uses techniques that help us become more aware of what is going on in our mind and body, and then goes further to work on how that inner awareness gets translated into outward expression and into relationships. Classes begin with a physical and vocal warm–up then proceed from simple to complex exercises that isolate and combine moving, sounding and speaking. Limited enrollment, pre–registration required.

Authentic Movement
Thursday 7:45 pm – 9:45 pm
Deb Goldman
Authentic Movement is an approach to movement, rather than a specific form or technique, which encourages us to listen carefully to the body. Each mover responds uniquely, and in doing so may open to a wide range of impulses, sensations, sounds, images and emotions. As witnesses we practice giving full attention to the mover while observing our own, internal experience. Together we strive to create a safe, respectful, and non–judgmental space. All levels welcome.
